During the summer I was very pleased to get a photography job with Curry's/Canon. The idea was to get a photograph of London landmarks when there was nobody around and then at peak time when crowds were in the shot.
This meant for some very early starts as I had to be in place for sunrise. At that time of year the sun was coming up between 04:30 and 05:00 ! I would lock my tripod in place and then stay in the same position until about 11:30. I was extremely happy when the agency kindly said they would provide me with a runner. I couldn't imagine staying in one place that early without numerous coffees and a comfort break!
Below are the images I took.
Gloomy morning St Paul's Cathedral
Tourists out in numbers after a heavy rain shower
Such a beautiful sunrise at Tower Bridge
Milling crowds satisfied after just seeing the bascules raise at Tower Bridge
Golden daybreak at the City Sark, Greenwich
Visitors arrive to see the famous Tea Clipper
